Artist Biography
For Matt Wieczkowski, Asbury Park is more than just a home—it’s the backdrop for a major creative second act. After a 30-year career in corporate leadership, Matt swapped the boardroom for the studio to pursue his lifelong passion for the visual arts.
Matt’s work has evolved from precise, Zentangle-inspired ink drawings into a vibrant exploration of mixed media, resin, and metal. His current portfolio is defined by a striking balance of geometric order and organic flow, marked by rich textures and vivid color.
Deeply rooted in the Monmouth County arts scene, Matt is a multi-award-winning artist whose work is featured in galleries throughout the region. As an Artist-in-Residence at the Asbury Park Art Club, 1100 Ocean Avenue, you can find him most days in his sunlight-filled studio, contributing to the heartbeat of the local arts scene.
He is a firm believer that anyone can tap into their creative side, offering private and small-group art classes and helping others find their own creative rhythm in the heart of Asbury Park.
